I'm Back!!

So I know that any readers I had probably got frustrated with my absence over the past few months and stopped reading by now but I am finally ready to come back to the blog world. I've been a little down this summer after not knowing what I was doing with my life and just praying that I get a job or into grad school. Well some stuff has happened recently, one of which is that I will be attending grad school in September (yay!!) and that I have a job. It's a part time at NY&Co BUT it is just what I need right now. I have money I have to pay and also I'll be able to develop an awesome professional wardrobe because they have the greatest stuff. And also, I get to accessorize :-) I'm pretty excited and I start on Monday and TODAY I'm going down the shore with my sister (the 'rents are already there).

So to sum up my summer, I went to the beach with this kick ass awesome boy who asked me out and now we're dating. I've been back and fourth between my hometown and up by school more times than I can count (but I actually probably could count if I wanted to) and doing some pretty cool things like beach and picnics and hiking waterfalls and 6 Flags... yup, yesterday I went to 6 Flags with the boy and we basically had an awesome time. Except for the part when he had to leave. But we wont dwell on that part. 6 Flags is different. That is the biggest shock that I got. I guess growing up close to it and with season passes most years I got used to the little changes along the way. But not being there in a few years has really left me wondering if anything is the same. The part that upset me the most though was that NOW you are not allowed to bring anything on any rides. That is correct. Instead of standing in coaster lines and putting your bag on the opposite side of the track while on the ride, you must spend a dollar to put said bag in a locker until you get off the ride. And you better hope the line for the ride doesn't take more than two hours because if you aren't back at that locker in two hours the staff is allowed to throw your belongings out. That's correct, 6 Flags now officially sucks with bag policies. AND, if that wasn't enough, rides you used to be able to take a bag on, or hold it in your lap such as "Houdini" make you put your bag outside the door. Seriously, it's hardly even a ride. Basically the new policy sucks and I suggest not carrying a bag at all as it will make your day that much more annoying. PLUS you have to pay every time you use a locker. Now that might not seem like too big a deal but it's every coaster and big ride. You even have to get a locker for the log flume. I want to estimate that is about 8-12 rides right there. AKA $8-$12 being spent on lockers.

A new good thing about the park is that when you buy a refillable souvenir cup you get free refills for the first day you buy it. Any other time it's $0.99. This is way cool because at Hershey Park we bought a souvenir cup and refilled it numerous times having to pay the refill price and if anything, that was how we made up for paying for the lockers. Free refills are awesome.

Anyway, I'm going down the shore for a few days so don't be scared if I don't post again this week ;-)
