"It's Just One More Day...

...No one said there would be rain again..." :-)

So far I straightened up in my room this morning while listening to (what else?) the B-52's. I know, the title suggests Bewitched and I don't blame you for thinking that I might be listening to them, but I'm not. I am currently sitting on my (made) bed, watching the rain outside, eating watermelon. Fun schtuffs :-)

I'm really excited because in about an hour I will be leaving for work and then by the time work is over the boy will be making his way down to my house!! My plans for tonight include eating dinner, watching a movie at my house, and then going to the 12:05 showing of Eat*Pray*Love!!! I am so excited for it because (1) I just finished reading the book and (2) I love Julia Roberts!!! So I hope it lives up to my expectations.

Tomorrow there will be beaching and I am so excited!! Also means I may not get to blog tomorrow, but I'll be back eventually. Then for dinner my best friend is having a Luau at her house and totally invited me last night!! So exciting!! Then we spent like an hour on the phone trying to remember our exact schedules from each year of high school (A day and B day) and I was stuck on one of my 4th block classes from senior year for the longest time before I finally remembered that it was Kids! Kids! Kids! My HS BFF was like "you didn't take early release or something that I didn't know about, right?" until I finally remembered. I actually typed it up and saved it on my computer in case I ever have that problem again, which is weird because I usually remember all of it. But I guess over 4 years will do that to you. Maybe I'll post my HS schedules one day if I feel like it.

Mmm this watermelon is good! We had corn on the cob with dinner last night and I was really excited. Mom, sister, and I went to Target and to the mall so I got to finally print out those pictures I was b*tching about the other day. I put them in the album and it's almost perfect! I mean, every page is beyond full, but I haven't written anything in yet because I'm hoping that my friend will finally post a few other pictures from before Bacc Mass that I haven't seen yet because there are some good ones in there.

My feet are cold. This sudden feeling reminded me that I also wanted to address the issue of socks today. I'm currently wearing socks of the ped variety so that they don't overwhelm my flats when I put those on. The problem is, they don't stay on my feet very well. They are always falling off. This bothers me. Also, my flats tend to enjoy falling off my feet every once in awhile, taking my socks with them. This really will not do. But then, I could always wear different shoes if it bothered me too much. (I just decided there are certain people that I probably wouldn't like reading this blog because of my constant misuse of subject/verb agreement. Oh well) Anyway, I love socks. And I mean I don't just love socks, I love socks! (yet another reason I can't have people editing my posts...my sentence fragments and sometimes run-on sentences. Actually, worse are run on sentence fragments. At least I have spell check, or I'd be screwed...) Socks are awesome. I have so many pairs of socks (and often non-pairs of socks as well) that they hardly fit in my drawer along with my underwear and bras anymore. This is a problem, especially since it's summer and often these socks never see the inside of the hamper for three months straight! So what am I to do with all these socks in the summertime? Put them away with my winter clothes? But then I may need them! I suppose I can just keep shoving them into the drawer because I really can't afford to get rid of any when in the winter I just can't have enough! I also have very naturally cold toes. I wear slippers but they remain cold. Even in the summer. But back to socks... I love all the different varieties of socks: peds, ankle socks, regular socks, knee socks, thigh highs, I love them all! And don't even get me started on leg warmers (because they are more of a winter subject)!! My most recent obsession has been with knee highs and yesterday at the mall I found a sock store! An entire store dedicated solely to the purpose of selling awesome socks! It was pretty cool and would have been better if I had actually had the time or money to buy socks. Or room in my drawer. Anyway, I bought a movie instead.
