I cut my finger today :-( Luckily I have these really cool camo band-aids that I bought for my boyfriend so I got to use one of them. I was trying to put this picture in a frame and the glass cut me it was not okay. But whatever, I'm over it. I've been watering the garden for my dad all summer and today I accidentally left it on for about a half hour too long...oops. I usually always remember, but I guess because I came upstairs I forgot.
I still am working on finishing my photo album from senior week. I need to go buy about 8 more pictures from Target (my usual photo place) and finish it but I haven't had the chance to get there. I mean I could go tonight-or like right now-but that would mean I would have to go there and I really don't feel like just going to Target for some pictures. I would rather go when I was already out or something so that I have a good reason. Otherwise it sort of feels like a waste of a drive. I mean I also could just print them here but when I use the photo paper it takes a whole day to dry and I would want to immediately put them in the album. On the other hand, if I print them today instead of go over there tomorrow there really isn't much difference. Ahh the decisions... haha I am being pretty lazy right now but also I think it would be better not to spend money. I'm going to check if we have photo paper at all and then make up my mind.
In other news, it hasn't rained here in quite some time. We aren't in a drought again (like we were last month), but it still sucks that there hasn't been rain. And it has been uber hot out.
Work yesterday was pretty basic. I did the basic first day stuff like filling out forms and watching informational videos. Let me tell you, they were some videos. There was a lot of information and they were made by preppy workers in 2004 and they are just so happy to talk to you, to customers, and about anything store related!! Haha it was pretty amusing though at some points. The one character was a cross between my grandmother and the French lesson movies from the 90's that we used to watch in high school. I really did enjoy learning about the jewelry (there was an entire part of the video just devoted to that) and it was mostly things I needed to know, crossed with a bunch of common sense issues. After all of that I was finished for the day and left with a sticky note of days I am working for the next two weeks. This week my lucky days are Thursday and Saturday, which means I can go to the beach on Friday (!!) with my boyfriend (who has been wanting to go back since we last were there together two months ago).
So lately I haven't been up to much, making plans with some friends I want to catch up with, setting up meetings with grad schools, etc. Hopefully I can make a decision soon and make things a little easier on myself, but for now that's where I am.
