Day 004 - A picture of your night

Picture's not ready yet, but I needed to post before the night ended. I had dinner at my Grandma's house and then we watched Dancing with the Stars and drank tea :-) I got a haircut--sort of--and now I'm going to post to school before it's too late. Be right back!!



So anyway, dinner at Gram's was nice, we ate and chatted and now she wants me to come over for dinner every Monday night on my way home from work, haha. I don't know, it sounds great but I guess we'll just have to see what happens...

We watched Wheel of Fortune. It was eh. I didn't win wheel watchers. The person got to go to Hawaii and what did I get? To watch some guy not be able to figure out "Golf Visor" from "-OL- --SOR" I mean, who knows if I would have gotten it by myself, it was my grandma who said visor and I figured out golf from there, but it's okay to judge when it's not you. Anyway, I just thought he should have gotten it because he had just figured out "Hole in one" from like "--L- -N -N-" and I mean, he was clearly already thinking golf. Too bad, he would have won $30,000 more. Can I say something though? THAT'S ALL ANYONE EVER GETS! They ALWAYS get the 30,000 or like once a week 35,000 but no one gets anything other than that. Watch, I say this now and tomorrow will be different but you know what I would say to that? GOOD FOR THEM! I may miss wheel tomorrow night though to go to our parish mission.

Anyways, after wheel was Dancing With The Stars and that was very enjoyable. Many of the stars are doing so well and tonight was American themed and I loved the outfits! I've been routing for Chelsea and Mark, but I also am a fan of Ralph and Karina. My dad is a big Chris Jericho fan and I have to admit, he is doing awesome! Also, Hines is so fun to watch and I love Petra and even Romeo is doing great. I really can't believe that I never watched this show before this season, but it's difficult to watch a bunch of shows at school especially since I never had nor wanted my own tv. Well either way, I'm watching it and enjoying it now.

I guess I should go to bed, I've got a long day tomorrow and I'm getting nervous about my interview. I should get up early tomorrow to make sure everything runs smoothly. It's either that or run the risk of being late to something. Well, goodnight! I will have those pics up as soon as my phone decides it's going to cooperate and send the email with the attachments. Day 003 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show

So here is the picture of the cast from my favorite show. Leverage is about a team of thieves that con bad guys into repaying the good guys. They're a little like private detectives but then they also trick the bad guys into getting caught or giving up their money or both. They can fool almost anyone and have tons of cool adventures. So basically now that you know about the show, meet the cast...

Nate. Nathan Ford is played by Timothy Hutton and he's the basic master mind behind many of their cons. He used to work for an insurance company chasing down thieves and investigating insurance fraud until he lost his child and his life fell apart. He was basically screwed over by the company he worked for and turned to this group of thieves for help in getting even to find that what really was important was doing the right thing for the people who can't afford to get even.

Sophie. Sophie Devereaux, played by Gina Bellman, is a grifter. She sucks as an actress on stage and the others were skeptical about making her a part of their team at first, but Nate convinced them that she is great at acting in real life. Although Sophie isn't her real name, that is what Nate knows her as and she wont tell him her real name. She has many aliases and can adapt to the circumstances easily.

Eliot. Eliot Spencer is played by actor Christian Cane and is the muscle of the team. As "hitter" Eliot is able to disarm and beat any opponent, and numerous opponents. He dislikes guns, but is an extremely talented marksman if he absolutely has to be. Most of the time he opts for his fighting skills though and is definitely talented in that.

Parker. Parker is played by Beth Riesgraf and is my favorite character. Beth's character is the "thief" who grew up an orphan who learned to steal. She is not afraid of heights, small spaces, or anything like that but is awkward when it comes to being around people. The things that Parker finds out of place probably seem normal to most people and what she finds normal may be considered weird to everyone else. She has a unique innocence about her that implies that her life was both sheltered and a little out of touch with the modern world, but it makes her character more appealing. Her character has definite "cool" appeal because of the things she does like rappelling down the side of a building or other things that some may consider dangerous.

Hardison. Alec Hardison, played by Aldis Hodge, is the "hacker". In essence, he's a computer geek who loves hacking for the fun of it and is extremely smart and experienced, but has an innocence to him as he is the youngest of the team members. He is able to create gadgets and manages all the communication of the team as well as locating the "bad guys" and gaining access to files otherwise not common knowledge. He has all the technology needed to monitor everything from their office, but is usually thrown into the field.

Day 002 - A picture of you and the people you have been closest with the longest

So people I have been closest to the longest to me screams family. Today I opted for a shot of me and my sister and cousins as kids and us recently. I know I said yesterday how much family I saw regularly growing up and it's no lie. My mom used to baby sit my two cousins before we went to school so they were literally like brothers to my sis and I. So basically, I've been closest to my family the longest (big shock there) and today's pic shows that.

I'm feeling quite lazy today but I will say that I got extremely excited about the photo challenge last night and spent hours editing and playing with some pics. I'm looking forward to some more but I better go get ready for the day with everything I have to do!

Day 001 - A picture of yourself with ten facts

Prelude: My dad and I just saw a robin in our birdbath. My dad got to actually see this guy splashing all around but by the time I got there all I saw was the intense fluttering of his feathers to dry himself off. It was pretty crazy though... oh birds :-)

So here I am with day one!

As promised, 10 Facts:

01.) I <3 God. He is pretty awesome and I got to know Him through my Youth Group in high school and then again at my Jesuit Catholic college. I love the power of prayer, talking about theology and philosophy with my friends, going on retreats, small groups, and keeping Him in the center. Otherwise I get all out of balance.

02.) I <3 Spring. It is my absolute favorite season and it's happening right now! I love the weather starting to warm up, the birds, the flowers, the trees, the rain, and my birthday! It's altogether a wonderful season and then add Easter in there and it pretty much rocks my socks off. In fact, I'm not wearing any socks right now, that's how hott spring is ;-)

03.) So speaking of spring makes me think of my willow tree which in turn makes me think of how I love to read under it which brings me to #3 - Reading is Awesome! I have always been a big reader, love books, love imagination, and can get lost in my own fantasy world forever. I loved reading so much as a kid I used to get in trouble for: reading when it was too dark/not enough light, reading all night and not getting enough sleep, and not knowing how to get ANYWHERE when I learned how to drive because I was always reading and never paying attention to where we were (seriously, I couldn't make it to my grandparents house). I like goofy teen novels and mystery books. I got really into Sherlock Holmes and of course I'm obsessed with Harry Potter. The only books I don't like are ones they force you to read for school. If I found it on my own and picked it up I might actually read it and love it, but because they forced me to read it I hated it and probably put it down to read a different book and never finished it. Seriously literature class, what do you think you're doing?

04.) I love TV shows and movies that make you think. I love all of those movies that leave you wondering exactly how it happened and I also love the ones that leave no clue as to how it worked but then show you at the end (aka Ocean's 11, my absolute favorite movie). I also like shows like Criminal Minds that show you how they're doing it but leave you in suspense. I watch all these crime shows and I'm a complete scaredy-cat but I love the shows and then can't be alone. Ever. In addition to the ones you have to think through though, I do enjoy romantic comedies and sports/inspirational movies and I'll actually watch anything you put on unless it's (a) too awkward or (b) too scary.

05.) Fact: My absolute favorite team just recently won the Superbowl. Yes, I am a huge Packer's fan and no, I am not from Wisconsin. I love football, have since I was a kid, and it is definitely my favorite sport. My second favorite is NASCAR (Jeff Gordon - no negative comments!), and then comes baseball/softball. Basketball bothers me because I always get hurt (trust me, even on the sidelines, this sport is DANGEROUS) and I've seen enough of it in my first two years of college cheerleading to last me a lifetime. Soccer is eh. It's fun to play but sucks to watch. Sorry, I've just lived with enough soccer fans in college to be sick of that too. It's not as exciting as American football and never will be.

06.) I am originally from New Jersey. I have great Jersey Pride and it really hurts me when ignorant people make fun of my state when they actually don't have any idea what they are talking about. Thinking your state is better than someone else's is your opinion but trash talking Jersey is so not okay and I got on a rant about this earlier because moving to a new state, you really see how discriminatory people are and it drives me crazy. No matter where I end up, I will always be a Jersey Girl so think about what you say to me about my home.

07.) I have a really large, loud, crazy Italian family. We have so much fun together and I love being around them. As a child we always went down the shore together and were together basically every day. Now I'm really close with my cousins and every time we're together it's guaranteed to be a great time. Gotta love family :-)

08.) Pictures tell a story and I love looking at my stories. I love pictures: I love taking them, I love being in them, and I love editing them. I took a photography class in high school and another in college and I basically just became more obsessed. Some people make fun of me for taking too many pictures or being in too many pictures but they are my memories and I just want to have them forever. Okay, maybe I'm obsessed, but everyone will be grateful later.

09.) I <3 Music. I love playing music, listening to music, writing songs, singing, dancing, anything that has to do with music. It's always been a big part of my life and it makes me totally happy. I love all kinds of music except a lot of rap and anything too slow for me. I love old stuff, I love new stuff, I love love songs and break up songs, I love anything funny and anything I can relate to. It's really a big love relationship with me and music :-)

10.) I have gradually become obsessed with accessories. I feel like such a girl when I say that but in college I got really into necklaces and somehow acquired a nice shoe collection as well. Working in retail, I began to love cute purses and beautiful scarves. I wear three rings all the time, I HAVE to be wearing a watch or else I go crazy (but don't worry, I've got a few really cute ones recently) and I'm really lost without a necklace as well. I started wearing really cute hair clips and I just love them. I got my ears pierced about 5 years ago now and I became obsessed with earrings too. Wearing professional clothes to work has really helped me expand my style and I love being artistic and putting together really great and unique outfits!

Well there are my 10 facts, and now you probably know a little more about me than you thought you ever would. I had fun with that and you don't have to read everything (I know, now you're groaning because you already did), but you at least better look at my pictures (See Fact #8)!

WAY OVER DUE!

So I'm a total jerk for not posting for forever and a day. The truth is, I would come up with really great posts at work and by the time I got home I forgot everything...So there really is no excuse for me to not update, but hey, I guess I can try and make up for it now. Since it's April and my favorite time of year, I am in a great mood lately. Things in my life were all kinds of crazy, but I finally got my stuff figured out and my life and priorities in order.

So here I am, watching Wheel of Fortune and sitting on the couch after my walk with mom thinking about challenging myself to blog everyday. I actually came up with this idea this morning while I was browsing fb and attempting to get myself out of bed. La Festa!

Yesterday we drove up to La Festa and had an awesome time! I got to see lots of friends from college and eat lots of great food and see the amazing university jazz band play! There were good times had by all and afterward we went out to the bar to hang out.

It got extremely cold but being inside warmed me up. I think I'm getting too old and was so tired I left the bar at midnight but it was fine.

Today we are going to mass and then heading home so I can go to my sister's birthday lunch! I really can't wait to see my family today and do family schtuff!

I bought my sister a birthday present yesterday while charging my phone and I'm pretty happy about it. We shall see what she thinks!

New Phoneness

So I just got this new phone and I already love it! I can post to my blog on it which basically awesome and hopefully means I'll be posting more!

Yesterday I had a grad school reception and finally registered for my classes. It was okay, sort of boring though. I worked this morning and have work tomorrow night and then get to visit my friends at my alma mater! Sunday's my sister's birthday and then I work Monday and make time and a half!! So it'll be a good weekend overall.

I'm out for now!
